Early winter morning

Winters can be very cold in South Africa! On early winter mornings when the sun comes out, so do the squirrels. Catching some sun to warm themselves up, it is great fun watching the antics of these little creatures!

About the Balule Private Nature Reserve

Balule is part of the Greater Kruger National Park. It used to be farmland. In the 1990s, farm owners dropped the game fences between their farms. Eventually the fences between the Kruger National Park and Balule were dropped as well.
